From September 30 to October 2, 2026, Anyang He Xun Zai Ci Trading Co., Ltd. participated in the South East Asia Consumer Technology Expo (SEA CTE 2026) at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), Malaysia.
After three days at the exhibition, we returned with new customer contacts, valuable conversations and a better understanding of the Malaysian bag market.
Meeting Customers Face to Face
Our booth was located at Booth 3189, where we displayed a selection of backpacks, laptop bags, drawstring backpacks and canvas bags.
During the exhibition, we connected with more than 40 potential customers, most of whom were from Malaysia. The visitors included retailers, gift companies, wholesalers, schools and educational institutions, and brand owners.
Unlike online communication, an exhibition gives customers the opportunity to see and touch the products directly. It also allows us to understand their requirements through face-to-face conversations.
What Were Customers Looking For?
Among the topics discussed at our booth, price and MOQ were two of the most common concerns.
We also noticed strong interest in customized:
- Canvas bags
- Laptop bags
- Drawstring backpacks
Many customers were interested in different designs, colors, printing patterns and customized products for their own businesses or projects.
These conversations gave us a clearer idea of what local buyers are looking for and how we can provide more suitable products and quotations.
What Did We Learn from SEA CTE 2026?
Before this exhibition, we mainly connected with customers through online platforms such as Alibaba.
The experience at SEA CTE 2026 showed us the value of face-to-face communication. When customers can see the products in person, it becomes easier to explain materials, product details and customization options.
More importantly, talking directly with Malaysian buyers helped us better understand their purchasing priorities.
The exhibition also gave us the opportunity to meet new potential customers and build relationships that can continue after the event.
What Comes Next?
Although SEA CTE 2026 has ended, our work with the customers we met is just beginning.
We will continue following up with our exhibition contacts, preparing quotations, discussing product requirements and developing samples when needed.
